Upper Airway Endoscopy

A flexible endoscope enables veterinarians to visually examine the upper airway structures of horses. These include, but are not limited to the nasal passages, pharynx, larynx and trachea. This procedure assists in evaluation and imagery of various conditions such as respiratory infections, throat obstructions, vocal cord dysfunction and other abnormalities that may affect a horse's breathing and performance. The real-time visualization provided by upper airway endoscopy enables veterinarians to accurately diagnose and develop targeted treatment plans.
